David Walter

David Walter is a former senior national TV and radio correspondent and presenter. David has worked for ITN, Channel Four News and the BBC in a number of roles in Britain and abroad.

A long-serving Political Correspondent, David was also BBC Paris Correspondent, presented for Correspondent on BBC-2 and Panorama on BBC-1 and was the regular presenter of Europhile, Talking Politics and Education Matters on BBC Radio 4 over several years.

David has served too as Communications Director for a major political party and now advises a wide range of clients in the corporate, public and voluntary sectors. He has extensive experience of speech writing. Media training clients include CEOs, Vice-Chancellors and senior politicians. David has regularly briefed contributors to Question Time and Any Questions. David has worked with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy with political parties in Kenya, Tanzania, Bosnia, Bulgaria and Russia and was a jury member for the 2008 Royal Television Society Awards.

David Walter is the author of four books and has written extensively for the print media, including The Economist, The New Statesman, The Times, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph. David was educated at Oxford University, where he was President of the Oxford Union, and at MIT, where he was a Kennedy Memorial Scholar.
